Hemo

These are drawings created during a period when I suffered symptoms of severe anemia and were created as a result of minor accidents at work. They are made with my own blood coming out of cuts that happen while I was working with tools or sharp objects. They are unexpected, immediate and spontaneous graphic signs, in the same way as the cut manifests itself and the wound opens. They ritualize an autobiographical period and reflect the daily risks of every human being in action.
They where exhibited for the very first time on a small roof, part of the entrance of a fabric in the city of Prato in Italy, where workers on strike against working conditions had set up their settlement. They were proposed in this context during an artistic event organized by the Toccaunotoccatutti collective, for one day, with the aim of supporting the workers in their struggle.
